Production in this area is divided into four main and distinct business areas:

• Extraction, treatment and sale of aggregates
• Production and sale of cement and concrete
• Production of agglomerates and project execution
• Transportation

Sando’s Materials and Supplies branch fulfils a key role in achieving the company’s quality standards. Construction materials used for infrastructures and which are sold abroad comply with European Union requirements.

Concrete, mortar, asphalt mixtures and aggregates extracted from the company’s mining operations have CE marks and product certifications.

One of Sando’s companies specialising in construction materials, Andaluza de Morteros, has also obtained the Official Recognition of Quality Mark (DOR) as defined by the current Code on Structural Concrete EHE-08 for concrete produced at its factories in Málaga, San José de la Rinconada, Dos Hermanas and San Roque.

Holding the DOR means that product manufacture comes under a strict control process, which means that the recipient does not have to carry out a series of further redundant tests on site, as they have already been done. Thanks to this procedure, time is saved, greater flexibility in product management is achieved, as well as, definitively, savings on quality control and execution costs.
