Commitment to the Environment Protection
The company is committed to sustainable development and the preservation of the natural environment for future generations:
Recycling and Reforestation
The reuse and recycling of natural resources is the key to business sustainability. Sando has established recycling programs in all of its offices and projects. It is committed to making recycling a fundamental element in all of its activities.
Examples:
-
In the area of reforestation, Sando’s mining operations are a model of environmental responsibility.
-
At Sando’s plant in La Cabaña, Sevilla, aggregates are extracted in an environmentally responsible manner: the surface soil of the agricultural land is removed, when the layer of aggregate is reached, an established amount is removed and treated in the plant.
-
Later, the following procedure is applied: the removed aggregates are replaced with treated and classified rubble, then a layer of the previously extracted inert filler, to be covered in turn by the surface soil. Thus, the land is regenerated, oxygenated, levelled and apt for agricultural use.
