The Sando Foundation is a non-profit organisation created for the dual purpose of integrating and managing the wide range of sponsorship and social responsibility activities conducted by Sando over many years, and also to undertake new actions with social, environmental and cultural benefits.

The Sando Foundation dedicates its efforts to two main beneficiaries: firstly, Sando personnel and their families, seeking improvements in professional and personal circumstances. The other beneficiary is society as a whole. The Foundation conducts an extensive program of environmental actions, programs for risk prevention, the integration of the handicapped and a wide range of cultural events.

In recent years, the Foundation has been recognised for its efforts. In 2009, the General Board of Industrial Relations and Work Sciences awarded the Sando Foundation with the Prever Award 2008 in recognition of its efforts in Workplace Risk Prevention.

Since 2010, the Sando Foundation has spread its point of view on social responsibility via the internet through its blog: fundacionsando.wordpress.com. Each entry that it posts is related to current affairs and seeks to offer information from a social and environmental point of view. Pensando en RSC (“Thinking about CSR”) works like a conventional blog where entries are posted weekly.

In tandem with its blog, the Sando Foundation is also on twitter under the same name, @pensandoenrsc, where it collaborates on spreading Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) culture through short 140 character tweets.
