The Sando Foundation has signed the Global Compact, an initiative of the United Nations for the voluntary commitment to corporate social responsibility through the implementation of the Ten Principles based on Human rights, labour rights, respect for the environment and the fight against corruption. The Global Pact was presented by the Secretary General of the United Nations, Kofi Annan, at the Davos Economic Forum in January of 1999. Since then, thousands of companies throughout the world, including the Sando Foundation, have pledged to implement the Ten Principles in the conduct of their business operations.
